Building Safety Guidebooks: Assessment & Enhancement
The attack on the World Trade Center produced a thirst for information about how tall buildings protect those they shelter. The purpose of these guidebooks is to educate occupants of tall buildings; the user-centered, utilitarian design allows building owners and designers to create living documents within the guidebooks as they evaluate the need for additional safety and security features.
Yachun designed the guidebooks when she was a senior designer at NBBJ. She also photographed all the images used, in downtown Seattle.
